Well, obviously you did. :?:

Patrick (old chap), It`s a fact of life that some of these young gels are mere flibertygibbets, and are known to toy with a chaps inner emotions. I suggest you ship for India directly ... or join the Foreign Legion. Chin up there and stand to :?: .

Stand easy, chaps. I've arrived - and to prove it, I'm here.

As before, I'll continue with ephemeral visits to adjudicate on matters of logic, expose the pseuds, ridicule the irrationals and once in a while impart some of the trademark Foghat experience, wisdom and good old fashioned common sense. And if you're all really unlucky, I'll keep banging on about how bloody marvellous a certain psychedelic jazzy-space-blues-rock-bluegrass-funk band from Haight-Ashbury was/is.

Anyway, ankev I presume, likewise..........although didn't you rashly dis my beloved Dead a while ago? :?:

I haven't seen anything from ASC1952 in 'touring'.

Apparently he is a solicitor which obviously gives him all the money and loads of time off to take plenty of holidays each year, so was always a mine of useful information about the far flung corners of the world.

Thanks, and no hard feelings, old boy.....but listen to 'Dancing in the Streets' from the 8 May 1977 Cornell University gig, or 'Fire on the Mountain' on Dick's Picks 6 before writing them off for good. 'Mesmering, beautiful, magnificent' does not do these 'on'-tracks justice.... :?:

I might get around to it. I own and actually like, the Mars Hotel album. There's a lovely track on that called Ship Of Fools.

But at the moment I'm absorbing the Pretty Things and Yardbirds BBC Sessions albums not to mention Eddie and the Hot Rods new CD.

Are Stone-Hearted Mama' or 'Onion Soup' on it? Stonking tracks from a fine band (an abrasive Rolling Stones with balls)!

Yep, both are in there. It's a double CD and covers all periods of their career. Highly recommended. (My faves are Cries From The Midnight Circus and Sickle Clowns but I liked them on the studio albums anyway.)
