And the usual suspects have been fired.

And Brizzle are less than happy their man Borthwick has been poached, it seems.

They also need a scrum coach........someone like Julian White (ex Leicester) was pretty handy at ways of getting red carded.
Read a report this morning that he's not after a scrum coach. Borthwick will handle all forward play and there is a general Skills coach to be recruited, apparently looking at Alex King from Saints.

Thank you, but you really didn't have to!

I suspect that England rugby will be as technical and dull as usual with no flair or excitement à la France.

The Six Nations will be a taster of Eddie Jones rugby.
I think that is a very valid pov.

For my part I don't care if we win ugly so long as we win.

I still like the French 'way' best: fortunately Scotland and Italy have the monopoly on the wooden spoon, so we'll probably end up 3rd or 4th after Ireland, Wales, (France).

The trouble, and the entertainment, of watching France is that you never know which team will show up. It can be dismal or it can light up the rugby world.

I have a feeling that Eddie Jones' England will be very consistent.

I yearn for the days of Rive, and Blanco, from the French, complete with mid-match fighting amongst themselves, but would quite happily see us go back to Beaumont-land if it means we win.

Its a Sella's market. Let's travel down memory lane (no, don't worry TallMart - we're not travelling back to the last time you bought anyone a beer...) to the days of wonder.
A drop of France...Ntamack, Cabannes - ahh.

And another drop - this time the war in Parc des Princes. Old England, old rugby, and poor Heslop, who got well beaten up. Great evening in 'a bar with a red canopy' afterwards though.

I think we have very selective short term memories - England have been runners up every year since 2011 in which they won it - 2012 on their own - 2013, 2014 and 2015 on points difference - there is no right to be champions

as to the French thing I cannot remember them playing in the style al la Francie for many a year - yup in their era it was great but at the same time there was the pace and grace of the Duckhams, Underwoods, Guscot not to mention a few notables from other nations

As to the Jones thing - It is a good move to start afresh - should be enshrined in the contract for coach and team - change every 4 years after World Cup - if you want to carry on then basic minimum achievements - maybe one or two six nations and a WC semi during term? - top ? in rankings - but they should be allowed to get on with it.

Im hoping that Jones will bring the no nonsense style that he coached the Japanese team in - Personally Im not expecting England to suddenly become unbeatable in the Northern Hemisphere - the likes of Ireland and Wales have good players and are well coached - Scotland did well well at the WC and it will be interesting to see if that confidence and form carries through into the 6 Nations
