the forum has rules and he continually overstepped them . He was warned several times and ignored it. He was rude, abusive and obnoxious and as a direct result at least one long time member left the forum due to Joe's unacceptable behaviour.

Anyone that wants that rude abusive behaviour back here clearly hasn't ever been on the receiving end of it.


I'm sure if he learns to act in an acceptable manner he'll be welcome to return

I found the kid OK, yes, he was blunt, but in terms of rude & obnoxious, possibly no worse than other members at times on here.

I too would like to know which long term member left CC due to Joe24, and also has that member since returned now Joe is no longer a member

(PS I've not yet trawled all 11 pages to see if the unknown long term members name is posted, so excuse me if I find it in the next few pages.)

sorry but I PM'd the member in question in complete confidence and nothing would persuade me to break a confidence.
Suffice it to say that I found out by accident and as he was a relatively new member I did my best to both apologise for Joe's disgraceful behaviour and persuade him to stay.

This is relative to posts a few pages back about behaving differently in the forum than you would face to face.
That's very relevant and pertinent I think. It’s kind of wacky how many times threads on CC start out as friendly banter, only to descend into barbed humour, and then occasional insults. And face to face, between us, that’d be far less likely to occur.
Hypothetically if we were having a chin wag together in a pub, it’s probably going to remain at the banter level. Sitting in front of a computer – more likely to send the caustic stuff out through the ether.
Yep, it’s a funny old world.
