Not sure about a whole bike, I suspect spoke tension and frame rigidity might be difficult. Mascots, I can do...

Felting the frame might add some rigidity. You could make it "vertically compliant" whilst "laterally stiff for power transfer".
As for wheels, might I suggest the resurrection of Tioga's Disc Drive system?

I take it this will be attractive to the machos who think that they're capable of curing these young ladies?

I'm trying to attract Abitrary.

I would have thought that the prospect of a gin and tonic with a bevy of athletic sun-drenched lovelys with their golden limbs draped languidly over one another was not to be sneered at by even the metrosexual. Three of them even cycle. But CP tells me I am mistaken. Admittedly it's a cliche, but let's not throw away the baby of eroticism with the bathwater of pornography.

Anyway, Snapper's coming over, you ungrateful bunch. And I have wisteria, in case the lovelies aren't enough to lure Dellzeqq in.

A tough decision but I voted for theclaud on account of the views AND the bacon

There's a bit of artistic licence there. Three Cliffs Bay is not visible from my windows, but the Gower is a small peninsula, and there is nowhere on it that cannot be reached by bicycle in an hour. I can confirm that the bacon is first-class.

Ooooh... decisions, decisions...

Arch for her knitting and baking

Leclaud for her views and sunbathing friends (no ideas about wanting to 'turn' any lesbians, but if they're attractive and wanting to show off a bit of flesh... well, who am I to try and dissuade them?;))

Yenners because.. well, he's quite simply a bit barking and sounds like a laugh

Karen because she's all shiny and new and exciting (in Forum terms, obviously ;);))

Oh hell... all of them in a veritable cycling commune.

:biggrin::biggrin:

all of them

I agree.

All in one house.

It would make a good sit-com I reckon - especially if other forum members were allowed to make guest appearances.

eg linf gets invited round for tea by theclaud in his 4 by 4 and it so happens MrP appears.

They could spend the next 15 hours of the programme arguing round and round in circles while the rest go to the pub.

Spinners comes round and gets sent away with a flea in his ear, then goes round the corner and changes his jumper and comes back claiming to be a different person. He gets recognised and sent away and changes his glasses only for the same thing to happen. Again this could repeat itself ad infinitum.

Limitless potential

... then simoncc pops in, is arrested for trespassing and promptly dragged away shouting about how it shouldn't be shown on TV....

I'd forgotten about dear old Simoncc.

Also Andy in Sig could fly over by private helicopter from Germany and find User482 standing on the lawn tapping his feet angrily, with a copy of "an inconvenient truth" tucked under his arm and muttering about carbon footprints.

I'm torn between Arch and theclaud...Arch may be more keen to toddler-sit while me & the missus go on a pub crawl...but theclauds library may have more radical books to swop (saves postage too) but the clincher would be which one would take our moggie for keeps......

I am, alas, mildly allergic to cats (although it wouldn't stop me having one, if the situation was right...).

I'm sure you're right about the libraries. Mine consists mainly of vintage (and therefore out of date) archaeology books, a lot of cycling books (including 2 separate editions of Mike Burrow's design book, and two of Bicycle Science), and a complete set of Willard Price Adventure books...

Oh, and a paperback unillustrated Kama Sutra, which isn't really all that exciting...

Joe, Joe, Joe, I'm getting on for old enough to be your grandmother....

BTW, if we do transmogrify into a TV commune sitcom, can I be played by Felicity Kendal?
