a) Lambo doing 30
Mazda/VW is pulling out into the road and has a gap to pull into and enough time.
Lambo at a safe speed and he would certainly have seen the car pulling in and slot in behind him. Town speed of 30 and under is set so that we can deal with this sort of thing and we should be driving expecting things to pull out in front of us. Mazda was right out in the road and clear to see and deal with.

b) Lambo doing 60
It looks to me like the Lambo was doing a much higher speed. Lets say 60. So the scenario then is-
Mazda sees a gap and expects to go for it easily. Lambo "comes from nowhere" and appears perhaps after Mazda has checked gap, committed to go for gap and is checking other traffic. So Mazda may be quite fine and to have gone for a reasonable gap. Lambo has shot along far faster than expected hit both Mazda and parked car.

b) looks to be the scenario that happed given the very long stopping distance of the Lambo.

We all drive in towns and all have cars pulling out in front of us but we should always drive expecting this and at a speed to deal with it.

If Lambo speeding =his fault
If Lambo not speeding = should have easily stopped =his fault. Some blame on Mazda for pushing in.

Lambo driver is a d***head (and would still be even if he had not crashed).

Yup, but the gratuitous sexism aside..................

May have been blondist rather than sexist.

If you look at the video again, and watch when the camera pans back to the people carrier - there is a Maserati stopped which would have been behind the Lambo - possibly 'racing' ?

I drove a Lambroghini on and off for years. Belonged to a neighbour. Impressive piece of kit for it's time - 4x4, 12 speed gear box, 4.2 litre 85 HP air cooled engine which made enough noise to waken the dead. Usual Italian rust and electrical issues. Performance on the road a bit limited though - perhaps top speed of 15mph. Very good in the mud however...

Quite a few of the supercar manufacturers derive from agricultural machinery Lamborghini being one of them.
I was just looking at the spec for the car, not that I am thinking of buying one, the colour co-ordinated brake callipers & steering wheel doesn't appeal and I would be embarrassed by its 370g/co2. But it is certainly some motor, 700bhp V12, 0-60 in 2.9s would love to have a shot in it. Made a nice noise when it was ticking over too.

I love the way these cars now show off about stuff like dual clutches like they are something special for supercars, this technology comes out of tractors! In fact my mates new John Deer has 6 clutches, you can change gear dragging a 7 fuhrer plough up hill - now that is seriously impressive.
