Hill Wimp

Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
I was looking at some parts recently and the blurb said something like: stated weights do not include the sometimes considerable amounts of grease used in the assembly of this product.
So if we get rid of the grease and the lard on the saddle we will be floating on air then

Me too. The list of stuff in the bag increases every time I wish I'd brought 'such and such' with me.
I usually carry a choice of glasses and gloves. Spare lights and batteries in the winter. D lock on social rides when we stop at a pub or cafe. 2 bottles of drink for longer rides. Snacks. First aid supplies..
Occasionally when I nip out for a quick errand with no bags or extra accessories, the bike feels so different and easy to ride!!
Today I regretted not carrying spare lights (normally I do as I've lost them in my bag), as the batteries needing replacing and it was foggy. I did have spare gloves but didn't have 3/4 lengths that I would have changed into for a glorious ride home, didn't have sunglasses or sunscreen either so they need to be added to the kitchen sink:whistle:

Ooh, I might add a small bottle of suncream!

Soon the touring season will be upon us: need to carry extra tools in case I have to rescue a touring numpty stranded in Glasgow Green, part of a busy commuters route and also part of some end to end route ... aye pal, your journey may well end here if you got no pump
I mean, on a 5 mile commute with Marathons :becool: the tools could stay at home, I'm losing precious shopping space in the panniers
