Ah, school holidays! Fortunately our kids are grownups now so if it wasn't for the change in traffic volume, I wouldn't even notice the holidays starting and finishing.

What ages are they? Depends on what you can do!
It has been a long summer in our house this year. One of mine gets two weeks more than the other, that coupled with moving house and no money to do 'owt due to renovations plus the whole hecticity of renovating and moving has meant nothing has been planned this year. The last time ever we have an entirely unplanned summer. I did manage to get them away in the campervan for a week, we could've stayed away longer but they didn't want to. They said my socks were stinking out the van: Cheek.
The kids in the road here have absolutely nothing to do - all left in the 'care' of a couple of parents while the rest go off to work. They spend their time playing knock and run, prank call a taxi, eating sweets and leaving the litter on other people's property, and yesterday broke into the electricity substation....

we love it when velocison is off school. we can do all the things we used to do before we had to send him to that bloody chav camp. may the hols never end!
