Why are my daffodils not in bloom?

On a side note if you want some thing a bit different and more natural looking plant a few of our native daffodils.
I love my native daffs. They're planted into the grass in the back garden and when they're flowering is the time the garden looks its best.

Though I have to be careful not to stand on them or the fritillary when I'm hanging washing.

most Daffs are planted way too shallow. Ask any one who shows them and they will tell you they plant deep. No less than 18inch my foreman had all his 2ft deep.

Mine are definitely not that deep - I think I planted them 6 inches. That was per instructions, mind.
