impeccability and infallibility are not required characteristics. we all make mistakes.

Ooooh, sometimes i'm like a dog with a bone, wont let it go. I was getting to the point where i was thinking, ah what the hell, enough of this one....but i dont see it as making a mistake. ^_^ My choice and the result didn't eventually bear out, but i was covered...

I'm leaving it now...don't try and wind me up everyone  enough of this one, we won't agree.

There is no expectation of agreement, just a hope that maybe one or two people might start to think differently.
No, not a chance

Clearly not you, but someone.

Ive enjoyed this thread. I hope no-one goes away thinking too badly of me, no-one died, in the great scheme of things, this whole thing is nothing. Nothing to get upset about. A mild annoyance, no more (perhaps like myself in others eyes )

I know where you are coming from, and I do accept your point of view. If anyone is thinking negatively of you, the phrase "don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes" is appropriate I think.

Calling you a troll is just ridiculous.

That nothing you speak of, future generations will judge us primitive for.
Oh crikey, don't start...
No doubt future generations will suffer, just as we are victims of something or other of those that went before us. You can do small things to change, we all do...but none of it will REALLY make any immediate difference. The big changes will come from scientists, governments etc. That will be driven partly by public demand no doubt, but in the mean time, until an long term viable, economic option is available, i'm afraid we're (the human race as a whole) stuck with carbon fuels.

Tell you what, to satify everyone, i won't fill the tank, walk to work, lose my job, live on the dole, not pay tax (christ, then you'd all moan) live in a cave etc etc.

Don't get me wrong, your sentiments are spot on, they just don't fit reality for a lot of people.
C'mon, gimme a break, i'm trying to keep schtumm, you're not helping

Well, decided to drive up to North Yorkshire and go for a long walk around Killing Nab Scar, Levisham and the Hole of Horcum today.

Seems the idiocy is subsiding (regardless of some people's genuine needs, much of the artificially-induced shortage was borne out of idiocy and selfishness) as I pulled in at the first petrol station not charging £1.40 or above, went straight to a vacant pump and filled up. There were two pumps with "out of service" but that's not that unusual at any time.

Lovely walk it was too, fantastic day out

Well, decided to drive up to North Yorkshire and go for a long walk around ... the Hole of Horcum today.
When I was bringing Arch back from Whitby she suggested we stopped there by the side of the road as we could see 'the whole of Horcum' I thought she said.
I was wondering, as we approached, if it was like the place on Snake Pass where you can see the whole of Glossop!

:laugh: Is that aimed at me ? Troll because i have a different view to others ? because i'm not afraid to say something that goes against the grain...blimey, talk about pack behaviour ....or sheep mentality
No, you numpty, it was aimed at someone else. You are not a troll, just paranoid.

It's an addiction to a lifestyle that Mrs Thatcher promoted years ago. The car offered freedom, now it's a trap. I get along perfectly well without a car.
