...split at the bum, eh? Do other people's split there? I've just thrown out three pair, two of which I hadn't realized had gone. I can't recall if I ever bent down to pick the dog's ball up while out or tie my shoelaces...

I don't want to ask anyone, it's not the kind of thing you can ask. I'm only grateful I spotted it. I'll have to add it to my list of things to check before I leave the house.

No white nose hairs visible - check
No long tufts sticking out of ears - check
Zip up, belt closed - check
Not stood in dog shoot last time I was out - check
t-shirt label not sticking out again - check

Back to the trousers though. If I didn't bend down they be fine. maybe I'll take them back out the bin and remember not to bend down.

My Dad gave me a nice old 3-piece blue pinstripe suit which he had grown out of, when I was a trainee Solicitor.

I too failed to realise the thin-ness of the material/rotting of the stitching.

So it was, that when I bent down in Court to put down a box of files I had carried in, there was a nasty ripping sound and my undercrackers (clean that day) received unexpected judicial exposure !
