Why is their grass greener?

Maybe it's fake , my wee lawn is a mess just now but next door's looks very green and neat (and fake).
Know which one the beasties prefer though

Just get it paved for good then you wont have the problem.
Any time spent in the garden is time wasted in my opinion.

That's the plan for the rear, but this is a strip that runs round the front and side. Doesn't help that people let their dogs pee on it.

Do they work as my brother spends lot with them and his lawn is nowhere near as nice as ours.

I think it depends on what your lawn is sitting on. My house in Crosby had the grass sitting on an endless supply of weeds and the industrial strength weed and feed from green thumb seemed to keep it more grass than weed lol

I find paint helps, you can have it any colour you want.

Urea is the secret ingredient for green grass - best applied when no-one is looking.

Sightlines: it's much easier to see the weeds and bare patches when you're looking straight down at the grass at your feet.
