Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Yes crackle I know. Apologies if I offended you. I must admit I am begining to lose the will, to live. Maybe I should move back to the city.

The English Countryside varies massively from the fenlands in East Anglia to the rugged moors of the Northern Pennines and CHeviots, and closely clumped peaks of the Lake District. AS you head further South and East the rural areas become more commuter suburbs and less rural but the variety in England is far greater than in Scotland or Wales IMHO.

Oh and some areas of English countryside are so good that the Welsh and Scottish have both tried to take them over in the past.

No offence taken, I've a thick skin, I even count Noodley as a friend.

yeah , we will keep the nice stuff and you lot can have the scummy bits . I have experienced the "wirral country park" , its like moel famau country park. full of townies that know nip all. theres places 10 mins further than moel famau that are wonderful
It's not in the country though, it's a suburban park and it's lovely but hey, let's not get into a pissing contest, there's no point.

tl;dr I have never lived in the English countryside on account of being a small town boy. We know a song about that don't we children.....?

On the other hand I did live for a few years in the Welsh countryside. It was not an experiment that The Lovely Helen wishes to repeat.

I suppose like anything else it all depends on where you live. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
