I thought this was a joke. Do you really think this image in gender neutral? Even without the external genitalia, this is the classic phenotype of an XY genotype.

It's a theme that runs through our culture, that male is "normal" and "neutral". You can see it when "he" is used as a pronoun when gender is unknown, when the "women's vote" is treated like a special interest group, rather than 51% of the country, and when a male body is "human" and a female one is "woman".

That is exactly why I titled the thread why topless sun-bathing is good for women.

Off topic somewhat, but I like this diagram of a Kiwi:

So demonstrating a well used rule for assessing burns and explaining how it applies to clothing is a political indictment of the voting system?

In reality it could also be considered racist as well
The proportions of the image are not neutral when race is considered, the limbs are far too long when compared with body length for say Inuit or the forearms may be considered too long for an Asian body form. Equally the forearm ratio excludes African races

So we can now make claims how the image exploits indigenous races, whaling, civil war and the slaving debate

it really depends how pedantic you wish to be over a single generic image

Slightly OT, but here is an interesting article on the male as default. I meant to dig it out after mentioning it to @User13710 over a giant beefburger, and you've just reminded me...

There are other sources (I'll have to check), but milk is by and far the largest single source, but not the only one.

Regarding iodine, there was a programme on R4 about it tonight. It confirmed milk was the best source. Farmers started putting iodine into their cows' winter feed several decades ago, and cases of Derby neck and iodine deficiency birth defects cleared up without anyone knowing why. In other countries where they don't drink much milk, iodine is added to salt. Organic milk has less iodine than normal milk, because organic farming does not use additives in feed. Vegans can have difficulty getting enough iodine. The radio said soya milk and other types of non-dairy milk will almost certainly not have iodine. I was a bit surprised by this because my Alpro milk has B12 added to it. Sure enough, it didn't. Neither did my jar of marmite, although that contains B12. The programme said vegans sometimes get their iodine by buying kelp from health food shops, but the problem with kelp is you can ingest about 10 times your recommended iodine limit, which is not good for you. The concentration of iodine varies quite a lot in kelp, so it's difficult to tell if you are overdosing on it. I think iodine deficiency is mostly a problem for pregnant women, so I am not too bothered about it.

Hadn't realised it was a resurrection , I did however learn something. Opposite of posterior is anterior , so not a total waste of time
