I’ve got a child carrying seat , which was on my Boardman bike which I’ve now sold I needed a bike to fit it on as it’s not suitable for a lightweight racer , I decided to use my wife’s Raleigh pioneer which was only used a couple of times when it was first bought in 1999/2000, anyway I pulled it out of the shed to see what kind of state it would be in , & after a quick clean / oil of the chain and clean up its ready to go .
To my surprise it’s still like new and no rust gears all index fine etc, this will be a great bike to run the Grandkids in.
I think this bike would have been close to the last bikes built in Nottingham, I’d imagine.
