At the risk of being repetitive you, too, have no knowledge of my life experience; nor read the final sentence of my post from which you have quoted.

This is surely going off topic from the original post?
I did read it. With all due respect, the point has nothing to do with your life experience. No intention of derailing the thread - just doing my bit for mythbusting within it. Anyway, I'm reasonably cavalier with the Xs in text messages, and will throw one in for anyone for whom I feel affection, although I will not necessarily feel cold-shouldered by anyone who is not in the habit of Xing. Sometimes I post on the forum from a phone, and because it feels a bit like texting, I have often come close to adding an X at the bottom of posts. Which could look a bit odd in P&Lite...

With all due respect my opinion, and that is what I have given, is directly related to my life experiences.

Your opinion and that of others may differ as is your right

I differ in that I am much, much less liberal in my use of x.

I am not offering any opinion, or any comment on your experience - I am just joining @jefmcg in pointing out that there is no such thing as 'the female mind'. As long as you can take that on board, it can just be an aside to the thread, and doesn't need to get in the way at all.

I have never stated I do not take on board what you say; I simply state that my personal experiences and understanding mean my own thoughts differ.

I appreciate my thoughts differs from others but, rightly or wrongly, it's what make me me

I am starting to think there is such a thing as a man's mind. Not recognising a woman as a greater authority on anything, even on the nature of a woman's intelligence.

(Who cares about derailing the thread? 6 pages on why one person was unhappy that another person didn't write a single character seems enough. I hope everyone has said all that could be said on such a topic in 86 messages.)

It's a bit more complicated than that...

Sorry - it might be statistically true that a lot of men are emotional and psychological imbeciles, and we've certainly got a live one here, but that doesn't mean that there is a man's mind.

Oh great another thread for the ignore list, as we descend into, somebodies wrong on the internet.

Happy to hand it the thread back for more commentary on the missing x.
