Probably best to sit down with her and discuss it (again if you already have).
I'd not have them in our house, not necessarily because they look bad, but they are a fashion item and you'll have to buy again when they are 'out'. I only say this as we tend to buy well for the long term on big ticket items - a couple of years back we paid a small fortune for a coupe of large Italian leather sofas and armchair (boring light brown I'm afraid) but they'll last us 15 years plus as per their predecessors.
