Several years ago?
Yep: Wiggle, CRC, Hotlines (distribution) and Bike 24 (Germany) all owned by Bridgepoint Capital

I haven't ordered much from them of late purely because they're pricing isn't as competitive as it once was and the website is such an ar$e to use... search criteria is too vague, sort by size and it shows things that are out of stock in the specified size, plus poor stock levels and an increasingly limited range etc etc (I know, first world problems). Always get haribo though, which I normally give to the postman who brought the stuff, I value my teeth too much.
I tend to find what I need elsewhere cheaper tbh.

Got round to making a claim with Paypal this morning; called them rather than doing it via their online disputes process. They went straight to the second stage of resolution due to time elapsed since Wiggle acknowledged receipt of the shorts. Surprise surprise, Wiggle issued the refund within 30 mins of Paypal opening the dispute.

After last year’s fiasco with the truing stand and now this I’m pretty much done with Wiggle. At a push, I’ll only be ordering the Lifeline cable sets when working on friends/family’s bikes.

Shame, but this seems to be the increasingly common outcome of VC (and occasionally PE) jumping into specialist retail and leisure markets, i.e. aggressive growth through unsustainable business practices and then a decline in product and/or service quality once they’ve seen off the competition. And no Haribo! The basta.....

I questioned their policy for refunds in their live chat. Was told they updated their policy in January. Took me by surprise, having to pay to return two items. Took over three weeks to get a refund. I will never use them again, when you have the likes of Sigma who have free returns and a refund within a few days.

Just as happened with Play.com years ago, wiggle will be a thing of the past in a few years as it’s just unpractical to change your return policy when people use you for how good your return policy was in the first place. I never had any haribo in my last order, another thing they’re phasing out and another thing people like them for.

Haven't used Wiggle for anything for a while now, I don't recall ever having to return anything, but online I have no brand loyalty & will shop where ever is cheapest & that hasn't been wiggle for a long time. I used to have 'Gold' member discount with Wiggle, but tend to find them more expensive that most other online retailers nowadays. Think I've had Haribo with my last few Tredz orders for those whom It's a deal breaker for

I'm not in the habit of buying stuff then returning it to online retailers. I tend to make sure that what I'm buying is exactly what I need rather than take a guess or order multiples and then return half of it. I haven't noticed much if any difference in speed or quality of service between Wiggle or CRC. Which one I use depends entirely on who has got what I want, and who is offering the best deal. Often CRC and Wiggle pricing is virtually identical, but occasionally it isn't - like when I managed to pick up 4 Marathon Greenguards for £54! They were the reflex ones too, despite being advertised as black only.

I returned rokaoneone because they sent the wrong size. I returned them 20 days ago. I purchased another pair and the wrong size again. I haven’t received the first refund yet and they are taking 3 days plus when they had been replying. They are a shoot company to deal with.

On one of my last orders they despatched it fast to collect + . It never arrived after a week. Give them their due though when I highlighted it to them without quibble they dispatched a replacement.

Yet I've been trying to buy a new pair of shoes for a couple of months, shoes and helmets being two things I won't buy online. Can I find what I want in a shop? No. No shop stocks a decent range of makes, models or sizes. One prominent shop in Manchestah agreed to order two pairs of their stock shoes in my size, I took a pair home but didn't like them and the assistant was rude when I returned them.

Still looking for a shop where I can try on shoes.

Why won't you buy shoes online from a retailer with free delivery and returns like Sigma? No shop is going to stock a full range of all makes in all sizes.
Otherwise, how far are you prepared to travel (by bike or train to avoid environmental impact of car travel)?

Helmets are easy to buy online once you've identified a brand that fits
