There are still plenty about mate. Agree with the Ravensbourne area. There are a huge amount of the birds in the Golf Course/Millwall training ground.

Their roost is in Grove Park Cemetry, upwards of 3,000 of the little sods. In the summer they fly over my house at twilight like squadrons of Lancaster bombers going back to their bases!

Suspect not only there. I don't know how far they commute every day but we have loads in Greenwich Park, and parents have them in Elmsted Woods area

Not uncommon in Morden either. Quite why they go there is beyond me

They're lovely to see, but even as a bird lover I have to agree they shouldn't be here.

Pray, who are you or anyone else to say where what widlife should or not be?

Humans, orginated in Africa yet they are overplopulating the world in every single continent except for a token scinetific presence in Antartcia.

Humans have caused more environment polution and damage than a few measly parrots.

Here are some near us, and yes, that is middle of winter, snow in the trees.

I'm all for a cull, let's start with the chavs and lifelong benefits abusers.

Putting humans to one side for a moment, the problem of course is the introduction of certain species spells doom for biodiversity. Which is fine if you want a world occupied solely by parakeets, rabbits and that Japanese water weed, but a bit of a shag if you happen to be, say, a red squirrel.

If it's at the expense of our native birds (who all seem to be struggling) and it's a man-made problem (captive releases) then I think we should try and rectify it.

Mind you, if the RSPB aren't concerned then thats good enough for me.
