Thanks to all those who have contributed to my research into a road bike to replace my trek 7.5.

I was already to decide between a trek 1.7 and the giant defy 1 when I visited a Wilier dealer (who happened to stock trek and giant.)

So now I've tried out a LA TRIESTINA MIRAGE. Fantastic ride but I suspect built for longer routes than my pitiful 15 miles a day.

I hoping to be able to use this bike for a little lightweight touring next year, but given it's carbon seat stays it won't take a rack unlike the Trek or Giant.

The easy answer is to keep the Trek for wetter days and touring and use the Wilier for blasting to work on the dryer days. Race guards might fit I was so minded.

However reading through the small print I see Wilier only have a 2 year warrant vs the life time guarantee for the trek & giant frames.

So two questions

Anyone any experience of the LA TRIESTINA and should i be concerned about the limited warranty.

I've no experience of the Triestina but in this day and age a 2 year warranty on the frame does not sound very good. I think that would be enough to guide me back to the Trek or Giant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
