As I said in another part of the forum, riding to work this morning was a battle with the headwind, at one point I thought I was going backwards.

The wind on my commute today was quite strong. Managed to have a bit of a tailwind for half of the morning commute but had the same wind as a headwind for the evening commute.
I too hate the wind but it is automatically there when you live on the coast.

I generally take the view that as my bike gives me good exercise and I like riding it - I should enjoy the ride more against the wind because I get more exercise and ride my bike for longer! Mind you, maintaining that view took a bit of doing a few weeks back when I rounded a coastal headland and had to use my granny ring to cycle downhill...
