I was half expecting to get up this morning - push the button for BBC news and see a banner headline giving MS grief about W10 rollout - not a dicky bird - good news is obviously not news - almost no negative feedback from anywhere - apart from us that don't have it yet  - I only "booked" it for my W7 laptop - it has been on for the last 24 hours and not a cheep

@fossyant - what is the problem with the NVIDIA drivers - my desktop and my main laptop both use Geoforce - not booked an upgrade for them yet - is it worth holding off until the issue is sorted

I've upgraded my work pc to 10, defiantly seems faster and snappier than 7 (at the moment) had a few minor issues with networked folders (complaining that I didnt have permission) but that seems to have sorted itself out, on the whole it does seem like an improvement.

Cortana doesn't seem to work unless I change my setting to the US which is a shame.

I reserved my copy but not clicked the icon to see if it's ready to go. Need to do one more backup of photos etc first and I'm having a bad case of CBA.

@psmiffy Our gaming laptop is a GT740 and once Win 10 was on I ran the GE FORCE Experience program and updated the driver. No problem

But..

According to the Nvidia forum there are issues in games. I've not tried any.

I'll be holding off Win 10 on my son's Gaming rig though as that has a GTX 970 and may crash his games

Independent article: says one good reason NOT to download Windows 10 is that they now want you to pay a subscription to play Solitaire!!!!!!:ohmy::ohmy:
(edit: if you want it ad-free, that is)

The author needs to use the power (!!) that comes writing with for a national newspaper to encourage someone to develop decent proofreading software...

Since it was released, the game has become a famous way of killing time at the office, with employees evening being fired for having it on their computers.

just installed it on my lap top... how do i revert it back to W7 ?

When i click on settings, the window opens and closes a split second later... which is a bit sh!t really.
When i try the change the display settings, it says There is no Program associated with this file. Please install a program or activate one in the settings.
When i try to change my user account settings, the window opens and closes a split second later.

other than that, it's dandy... the best windows yet!
