Wales looks as though it has escaped the major winds. Those mountains have some benefits as does living in a valley Out in a bit so will see how bad it really is

They are predicting 70mph winds in Scotland and Northern Ireland later today, with some heavy rain.

Bit windy and wet in Swindon early this morning although it had stopped raining by the time I got to work.

Wind is pretty ferocious here today. The first 7 miles were OK hedges provided a fair bit of shelter but walked the last 1/2 mile of my commute, was in danger of being blown backwards. Got plenty of room though this morning - wobbly wobbly

Not heard anything about the TOB being canceled, it says "pending statement due to high winds" on official site.

They're gonna hit one hell of a headwind coming down the Prom today. Was hoping to take a late lunch and pop out the office to see the finish but will keep an eye on proceedings.

Bottled it. Took the car. Torrential rain this morning coupled with a forecast 60 mph+ headwinds for my 12.5 commtue home this evening I decided that I was a wimp.

There was a big tree down on my commute this morning. The last time it was this windy another one came down about 400 yards along the same road. Loads of emergency services and a lot of debris, but I couldn't tell if it had hit anything on the way down.

Rode into work last night driving wind round the sw coast of wales and driving rain. Not so bad today.

I rode the bakfiets with trailer straight into it this morning. Hoping my masochism will pay off when I have a bag of layer's pellets, a bale of hay and a bag of sawdust on board - and a 70mph tailwind!

Todays ToB stage has been cancelled due to high winds....if today was going to be worse than yesterday then thats probably a sensible decision.
