winter base layer

Today I was wearing my merino base layer under tights. Wouldn't it it be better if the chamois was next to the skin? How can this be done While still wearing base layer on the base? How do you solve this?

Yep... get some Lusso winter tights with Roubaix fabric, which is fleecy inside and water repellent outside. They're almost the perfect cycling garment. I wear a ropey old pair of bib shorts underneath mine.

you don't - there are better things to worry about in life. Were you warm enough and did it rub in the wrong places. if, yes then no, don't worry, life is too short.
