The weather down here in the South has been quite "Decembery" (at least what I think of as typical December weather) today: cold, crisp, calm. Makes a change from the wind and rain of November.
It might be my imagination, but there seems to be a high prevelance of RLJing by motorists at the moment. I had a row with WVM last week, who seemed to think that red meant "wait for the pedestrian, then attempt to mow down the cyclist following."

Today was cold and dry, then the rain came for last 5 miles
Way home was showery not too bad so went into Altrincham to the library, came out it was bucketing down got soaked on the 2ish miles home.
Oh can't wait for summer and all the good weather we are due
I've just had a look at my videos. I've filtered them down to incidents where a car/van etc has caused me alarm or irritation through their driving. One video has three incidents so that is counted as three.
In total I have had 43 such incidents over the course of 4.5 years (the vast majority are minor). One incident every 38 days.
Here is the monthly split:
Jan - 3
Feb - 6
Mar - 1
April - 4
May - 3
Jun - 5
Jul - 7
Aug - 2
Sept - 7
Oct - 2
Nov - 2
Dec - 1
What does this tell us? Who knows! Don't ride a bike in July or September (in Scotland at least, remembering school holidays are different).
Perhaps it tells you more about when I can be bothered posting videos...
What it does suggest is that cycling isn't that bad in the winter, except for February which is probably the bleakest month.
