I need to get a new pair of gloves for this winter. I want some thing that is going to keep my hands nice and warm over the really cold part of winter as the snow boarding ones i used last year have fallen apart.

What do you guys use?

I bought myself a pair of Spesh Radiant gloves last year in a lbs sale, they're too warm for now but in mid winter with a pair of silk gloves underneath my fingers were toasty.

at the mo i am using a set of seal skin gloves that keep me more than warm enough. I do need some thing for when it really cold. Only had 3 days off riding when we had the snow in kent this year and want some thing to keep me warm when its that cold.

dont mind if i have to pay a few £s for them as i would rather be warm.

I have the DhB Amberly Waterprood glove. Again, too warm for now, but good for when it gets really wet and cold. At the moment I've just put my mitts away and got some Nomis Gloves (see Discounts thread) for autumn and Early spring.

The silk glove inners is the key to making adequate gloves excellent. I use extremities velogloves and add the silk when it gets negative.

I use a pair of Halfords own brand gloves, they do for me. My commute is urban and only about 30 minutes though, so they may not suit everyone.

Another SealSkinz user. Not perfect but quite happy.

The perfect glove would be:
Waterproof, windproof, thin, warm (but not too hot windproofing helps a lot), long in the wrist, hardwearing, and have reflective tape on the knuckles (and palms for signalling)

Anyone know of anything close?

I've just got myself some sealskinz technical mountain bike gloves, as they seem to fit the bill of a good winter glove. Not yet been tested though!!
Still too warm to even think about wearing them.

Endura Deluge just bought them ready for the winter think I paid 34 from crc look and feel really nice still have good feel on the bars. They also have a double cuff which is really good.

You need to decide whats more important having specific wind proof gloves or waterproof or both !?. The ones I have claim to be highly breathable windproof and waterproof. If just windproof then go for Gore Bike wear stuff cant beat them.

After get the first real drenching of the year earlier the week I discovered that my gloves where not waterproof. Nipped over the road to the LBS and got a pair SealSkins Mountain Bike Gloves. Yes it is expensive working directly across for a well stocked LBS.
Rode home in them, pi$$ed it down for the full 40 minutes and they kept my hands perfectly dry and warm, very warm in fact. When I got indoors I noticed that the felt on the fingertip was wet but it did not seep into the glove itself.

Nowhere cold enough for daily use, just started using my (EBC) Revolution Three Season Gloves in the mornings. For £15 they bridge the gap between summer mitts and full winter gloves admirably.

I had reason to take apart a pair of winter, waterproof gloves earlier in the summer. There was an inner glove of soft textile. This was sewn into a latex glove at the wrist. The latex glove was glued into the outer glove with fabric glue.
