Hi all,

As above, interested to see how many members come from the sunny peninsula, maybe share routes, rides
Also I set myself a goal to do a JOGLE in 2015 , my 50th year, so I'm lookin for someone to take me under there wing, to help me train , plan, do the ride, with me. I am doing it to raise money for Claire house.
Just be aware I haven't been on a bike since august, had to sell bike for uni funds for son, but sons bought me a spesh Allez between them for Xmas, I'm over 15st, so need to get into some good training .
Would it be possible to train for this in the 18months period left. ?
Or if your not doing anything around May- ish 2015, join me.
I'm based in rock ferry by the way, so any strava routes around here or willaston, much appreciated.

Thanks
Tony.

Tony,

I now live in Cambridgeshire, but come up a few times a year with my bike. I am astonished at how busy it is( I left at the end of the 80's, and look back through model T tinted testicles......)

It seems to me that you can do about 10 miles max before you hit the A41,M53 or the Hoylake.

I will be interested to see what extended quiet routes are available.

Thanks dd,

I am planning to have a go at this, it was watching this go past my house in 2011, that inspired me to stop smoking, and buy a bike, although the cycling has been a bit hit and miss since then, I am planning a good
Cycling year in 2014, with this been my first target I set myself, still to decide on a distance yet.

:bicycle: ^_^

I am on the Wirral, and have been off my bike mow for about 3 months. I ride a hybrid and mtb, but about to sell the hybrid and get a Genesis Day One.

If your up for any little or big rides around the Wirral I am up for it, I generally go out Saturday mornings though, usually doing the Wirral Circular route, to keep off the roads, may not be that suitable for a road bike in places or depending on the weather though.

Thanks headcoat would like that, I was thinking about going out tommorow for the bikes maiden voyage, and also my first ride since august, will see what the weather is like.
Where does the wirral circular route take you, does it use the wirral way ?
When are you getting the genesis.

Thanks
Tony.

Do a bit of both, the bulk of my riding is road, and the bulk of that is commuting. I've a road bike and a (getting on for vintage) 26" MTB.

I have just bought a hybrid , and returning to cycling after stopping last august, so just getting back into it slowly for now. Will be doing the Wirral way to start with.

Do the whole loop, that's what I do. Or rather that's how I justify a Nichols in parkgate and a marigolds in WK ^_^
