Wish me luck... I'm off for the 'snip' tomorrow afternoon...

Ok. I'll come out the closet. I had mine done about 2 months ago. Some minor discomfort and a bit of bruising, but fine apart from that. Back on the bike about a week and a half after.

Bollo is right, it's a bit surreal, chatting to the doctor and nurse (both female in my case) about general chit chat, whilst I could smell the slight cooking smell that is a result of the ends being sealed!:smile:

My operating table seemed to be in the corridor with the number of people wandering through... all very interested in the proceedings!

As the doc started injecting the local he said, "You might feel a little prick". So pleased I didn't.

+1, I was awake when I had the snip done. Operation at 6pm on Thursday and was at work on Friday and dancing on Saturday night. No pain except a 'pull' from the single stitch, which I removed myself, rather than wait for it to dissolve, on the Tuesday evening. By the Following Friday I was cycling again.

Don't you worry about having a 'reaction' down there while you're being fiddled with, or is this not possible given the circumstances?

A friend of mine had his done a couple of years ago and misunderstood the shaving instructions. The surgeon complemented him on the job he'd done but pointed out that he didn't have to completely remove everything.

LOL, I've had my first ever Brazillian... I reckoned whislt I was shaving I might as well carry on...

FF, I send my very best wishes to you.

(BTW, have you stashed some (ahem) genetic material in the freezer?)
Thanks ... you're all too kind!

You may have all noticed that I'm a tad pissed, not just because of the 'OP' tomorrow, but because we've just had an 'Freewheeling' social...

I love beer

As a (still fully functioning) cockerill, I feel very ill at the thought of having it done.

Blokes at work seem to be having it done, with what seems like 1 a week regularity.

I have no intention of doing it (but Mrs CP might have other ideas)

Ha!
Actually wasn't to bad, but he had to do more numbing than normal, before he could proceed I did scream once though

Trying to relax was the hardest bit and it helped that the ... (64 years old) chap doing it was a cyclist so we had something else to talk about :becool: .

Still, not too uncomfortable at the mo, had some Paracetamol and am OK. 48 hours with my feet-up... yahoo!
