When Thing1 went to work for Google in San Francisco they lent him a bike and gave him Google cycling kit.

Watch out for the tramlines! And this..

Ah......its shorter than the zig zags at boxhill. How hard can it be?

As for kit....Google copied our idea. In fact, we're launching a (semi)pro team in 2010 http://yahoocycling.com/

Thankfully, will have a decent relocation budget to play with. Am currently debating if i should sell or ship my car over, so the bikes are definitely coming.

My poor sanguinello orange tree and lemon tree will have to find a home though, as will anything that only works on 240volts ;) Think i need to do an inventory tomorrow.

Bugger.

They just offered me 3 days temporary accomodation when i get to San Fran. Everyone else thats moved was offered a month + a car. Seriously doubt i can get an apartment in a city i dont know before i have a social security number or even a bank account. Upset now....this could be a deal breaker!

Edit: Raised my concerns. Hope it will all pan out OK

Ohh hope they sort that out- you need more than three days the sods..

I can rehome your orange and lemon trees - would be very happy to do that.

Panic over. They've seen the error of their ways so 3 days has changed to 30. That's a hell of a relief ;)

You will have to sit through my boring talk on citrus welfare then

Congrats, Tollers.

Did I mention the increased risk of skin cancer? And lung damage from smog (no, that's LA). And collisions with erratically driven trams. Or things crawling out of the fog at night...

And please don't depress yourself by loggin on to http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?8-Advocacy-Safety for descriptions of the appalling driving habits of US drivers.

Fortunately, being old and decrepit and retired I am beyond the sin of

Ah I think Bay Area is so full of cyclists that it can't be that bad there. You're right about skin cancer though.....i havent used sun cream in years!

Been doing research and interesting to know some areas are permanently foggy whilst other a few hundred metres away are clear. Guess that means ill need to find a place on top of a hill.
