The other day I was coming at a fair old lick down a hill, and had to apply my brakes rather boldly.
The front of the bike developed a rather alarming wobble.

Is it just one of those things that happens, or can I do something about it?

How do I do that? Clamp the wheel between my knees and try and move the handlebars?

Thanks for that valuable contribution.

The bike is brand new, so obviously everything should be OK with it.

Is the wobble fore & aft?
Could also be worth checking the brake caliper is attached to the forks tightly enough... just a thought, if the headset isn't an issue.
