I use a treadle lathe and turn mostly green wood. However the goblet here was turned from some lacewood which I had before the Covid outbreak so not very green.
Pole lathe here.
Will be making bowls and stools in late spring, and may remember to put up a few pics.
Lucky to work a few woods through winter, and get a good few blanks put aside: sycamore, beech, birch, oak, cherry, ash.

At some point I would like to make myself a treadle/pole lathe, one using traditional materials (e.g. no bungee cords). Which I can then take to Sealed Knot living history sites.
I saved these from the cherry tree that used to stand in the front garden until it died a few years ago. The rest went into the wood burner, and was very good as cherry burns super-hot.
Does anyone fancy turning them into light pulls for the next house? For beer tokens, of course.
