Woolwich Foot Tunnel

Can anyone confirm this is open 24 hrs a day. The website http://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/info/200102/walking/693/foot_tunnels says it is. But is a bit vague

not sure, last time I tried I ended up riding into Central London to use towwer bridge as it was closed, but that was about 18 months ago, it is a FOOT tunnel , not a RIDING through at a fair lick tunnel though

I went through it today on my commute as I had just missed the ferry. Completely empty unlike the Greenwich one, so I felt justified in cycling through. Lifts aren't working, so it was a bit of a drag.

I'm almost sure both foot tunnels are open 24 hours a day again.

They are but as above the lifts are not working plus they look shut due to scaffolding. Its now been in the process of improvement since 2010.

Better to go through the greenwich foot tunnel as the stair case is less steep given the choice of the two
