Wordle with SPOILERS

There is this thread if you want to get it off your chest now.

Okay. My first line was PASTE, which gave me a yellow T and E. For line 2 I wanted to type THEIR but somehow typed THEOR without noticing and then hit enter.

Never heard of it and I now know it's an abbreviation of theorem. I wouldn't have thought that abbreviations would be acceptable for this puzzle.

Easy solution to that: Be more careful in future.

There's a difference between things that are acceptable as guesses and things that they will present as answers. Two separate lists I think. There's all kinds of whacky things that it will accept.

I could imagine the outrage building when I saw the answer.

I'd say that, linguistically, it's a clipping rather than an abbreviation and a perfectly acceptable solution for the puzzle.

It's no less valid a word than photo or disco, which I'm pretty sure I've seen as Wordle answers.

Google says its slang.
I got it on line 5 only because the missing letter was the only one left to try.
