There is that, however my post was aimed more at the hypocrisy of not allowing a hot iron versus allowing anyone and everyone to boil water to 100 degrees c and then free pour it into their vessel of choice ;)
I rather would say idiocy than hypocrisy!

Back on topic,

Fold trousers along seam, fold in thirds. Shirt out flat, fold in arms, fold in half (side to side) then half again (top/bottom). Then slip into plastic bag and fold again. Another trick is not to iron your shirts. From wet, put over bannister or airer and allow to dry naturally. Works for me. From this summer I'll be in shared offices, so I'll need to carry my trousers to and from work (can't get changed in my 'office'). I'd still be able to leave shoes under my desk, if I don't mind walking down to the changing rooms in shirt/pants and red/black cycling shoes. Then its a couple of minutes walk to the bike shed.

Instead of folding your shirts in the shop-display fashion, grab the shoulders at the point where the crease on the arms meets the double-thickness shoulder bits. Then fold the shirt in half lengthways by bringing these two bits together.
If you lay the shirt on a flat surface now you should have one of the front sides on top, followed by each half of the back, and then the other front side on the bottom. Both arms should be on top of each other, flat and to one side.
Folding the arms on top of the rest of the shirt.
Following this?
Then roll loosely from the collar end with the arms on the inside of the curve.
Lastly put in your rucksack so that the roll doesn't get squashed, e.g. by putting it on top.
