Worst Cycling Injuries

Couple of minor scrapes as a kid, one clipless moment(during my very short clipless career) as an adult, but no injury and one sore shoulder when hit by a close passing lorry.

I'm quite happy with the idea of this list never growing any longer

Me: concussion and two partially crushed vertebrae from being hit by a car
Husband: jaw broken in three places, dislocated and fractured elbow from face planting off a jump.

Worst I've done was collide with a barbed-wire fence at a fair old speed when I was a teenager. It wasn't nice ...

Knees were fine running....screwed up since I started cycling. Been troubled by them about a year and a half....best part of a year off the bike/no running.

Just a broken collarbone, on day one of a 6,000 km ride!

Re-started after four weeks recovery, and managed 4,000 in six weeks!

Came off on the folder going downhill on a country lane. Tried to slow down for a motorist coming the other way and the bike seemed to go sideways from under me. I landed hard on my right elbow and had to have 12 stitches. £250 damage to the bike.

Shattered front teeth
20+ stitches in mouth
Cuts, bruises and road rash.

Not one of my most enjoyable rides.
