Letting novelty records off the hook, of the songs that were genuine songs of their day then the one that stands out as the worst has to be
Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep by Middle of the Road. The combination of annoying vocal, brainless lyrics and that it just seems to be the same verse and chorus being repeated wins it for me.

I want to put 'like' on loads of stuff on here but fear it will associate me with liking the song/songs/bands I actively dislike.

But for me, anything involving 'head down no nonsense mindless boogie' of the sort characterised by 'heavy metal' such as that meaningless shite churned out by the likes of Slayer or Slipknot. They can all fork cough as far as I'm concerned.
