The programs I loathe the most are the 'Location, locatii....zzzzzzzzzz) programs. Once every one connected with those has been done away with we can start on those responsible for Soaps.

As for Triangle, I was working in Felixstowe Docks when that was going and never watched an episode.

I nominate Dynasty - but only by a close margin over Dallas.

I think it was the Grauniad critic who once quipped "Dynasty - and maybe live nasty too ...." Stuck in my memory.

Take Me Out

Any of that reality sh1t about Jordan, Kerry Catona, Paris Hilton, Peaches Geldoff or any other air head. I honestly do not know whom watches this utter, utter sh1te.

Then again you could take my TV, as apart from BBC nature series, DVD boxsets, and the odd film I do not watch it, it's so bad.

Didn't Wogan (or someone) occasionally refer to it as Dysentery ?

Last of The Summer Wine. End of thread

I think the early series were quite good - quiet, dry humour. Then it became slapstick and silly...

Triangle was clearly a special case. Quite extraordinarily naff.

In recent times 5's 'Don't Stop Believing' was breathtakingly, squirm-inducingly bad. Beyond squirm. I tuned in wondering what the fuss was about and could not watch - it was all too embarrassing.

Hollyoaks and Hollyoaks Unleashed are completely horrible. ITN's News at Ten is just ghastly, especially when Steve Austin is doing it - you cannot escape the impression that he is really dim and simply reading the autocue. I'm with Surfdude on the BBC science fiction thing - and, no I can't remember the name of the thing.

Older forummers will remember a programme devoted to sheepdogs herding sheep. Quite incredible.

For me it's got to be anything with Noel Edmon in it, East Enders and Doctor who.

Oi! One man and his dog was strangely facinating!

I think for me it is a toss-up between Spooks and Outcasts on the beeb - both by the same TV production company - god, it's like Cold Feet in space / in MI5, only without the laughs and interest. You feel that any one of the characters - at any time - could be transplanted into the local school governers meeting or a branch of M & S and not be out of place in any way.

I think they're (Stephen Fry coined this phrase) arse gravy of the highest calibre.
