Unfortunate. Ross is much better as a chat show host than Graham Norton, who looks likely to replace him.

At least one of the commercial companies can now guarantee beating the BBCs audience by a big margin on a Friday or Saturday late evening by putting Ross on against Norton.

How long can the BBC go on justifying the licence fee when it takes off presenters and shows people want to see?

It's a start. Who's next for the cull of overpaid, overblown windbags?
Not me; I only qualify for 1 out of 3 of those.

I've always found him quick, witty, knowledgeable about certain things (films for one) and on his radio show, he mostly plays music I like. Still gets paid too much, though...

I agree with everything you say. Think he's just an easy target of jealousy. There are a lot lot worse than him on the tele.

At last............... some good news.

His radio show was pretty poor much like his TV show and totally missable. I never listened if I could help it.

I watched the TV show when it first started but soon gave up as Ross was just a rude boorish letch trying to hit on his female guests.

I did however watch for the occasions when Ricky Gervais was on, but after the 11th time he was on it was getting very tiresome, as they couldn't get any other people to go on the show, it was just embarrassing.

Ross sealed his fate with that other idiot Russell Brand in Manuelgate.

Good by and good riddance to both. Overpaid and over hyped.

Mind you I thought Ross was dross until I heard the Beeb's recent acquisition over Christmas - Alan Carr.

Who ever is hiring and firing these people at the Beeb needs firing themselves  .

I didn't like him in later years because he tried to be a comedian rather than the interviewer he actually was. Half of his attempted comedy was fairly crass smut and inuendo. I understand from a friend in the media that he was a bit of letch as well. However a lot of people seem to like him, so each to their own.
