I actually enjoy the podcast of his Radio 2 show. But then again it is a small dose. Have grown tired of his television show and wont really miss that.

Never cared much for Ross, but found I could avoid him by watching something else. Reading the comment sections of some newspapers on this, I obviously missed the many brutal serial murders he committed, given the vehemence of the dislike on display.

As the license fee also goes towards Charlie Brooker, Mark Kermode, Attenborough et al, still seems like a good deal to me, even if they pay Ross to sit on his backside eating caviar all day, and continue to emply bloody Clarkson.

Unfortunate. Ross is much better as a chat show host than Graham Norton, who looks likely to replace him.

At least one of the commercial companies can now guarantee beating the BBCs audience by a big margin on a Friday or Saturday late evening by putting Ross on against Norton.

How long can the BBC go on justifying the licence fee when it takes off presenters and shows people want to see?

What nonsense! Graham is much funnier and a better human being than that self-satisfied tosser. Although, I do concede that Woss does do the occassional good interview if the interviewee is a) someone he likes, and  does not have breasts.

I think it's a crying shame tbh, i enjoyed his friday night show. He's intelligent, witty and a good interviewer. I can't believe people are still het up over the whole phone call incident, jeez...

Who's going to replace him? Norton? God help us.... Another gay person who uses campness to gain laughs, innuendo central...

Will there be a triumphant return to C4? They'll be on the hunt for audience boosting material now BB has been consigned to the dusty bin of TV history.

Who ever is hiring and firing these people at the Beeb needs firing themselves  .

Couldn't agree more. Those of us fortunate enough to have enjoyed Michael Parkinson in his day can only cringe at the vulgar, tactless balloons who parade across our screens today.

For goodness sake give James May a chat show! He could talk to interesting people like inventors, explorers and engineers instead of the endless procession of mindless so called celebrities that infect the media.

I've always found him quick, witty, knowledgeable about certain things (films for one)
Me too. His film programmes were certainly as good as Barry Norman's, but I stopped watching Friday Night when he began to crank up the smut. I've nothing against smut if it's a) funny and  in the right place, but his interview of Nicole Kidman - a talented, thoughtful actress who was expecting to discuss her many fine films - was cringingly embarrassing.

The 'highlight' was Wossy asking if her bush was the same colour as the fish fingers he had been discussing with his first guest, a joke so laboured that you could tell he had it in his notes. No wonder that for the last year his interviewees have generally been his mates and neighbours.

What show will Ricky Gervais appear on three times a year now!!??

And what will become of the talented one from Four Poofs & A Piano? Who will play it now!!??

Can't say I'm that sorry to see him go from his Friday night show. I stopped watching it over two years ago now. Film 20?? is different, I will miss his appearances on that. His radio show, I could take or leave it.The music he played was in the main good, but the banter? No.
