He's obviously a bit like Marmite. You either love him or hate him. I personally love Marmite and Wossy.

I think it's a crying shame tbh, i enjoyed his friday night show. He's intelligent, witty and a good interviewer. I can't believe people are still het up over the whole phone call incident, jeez...

Who's going to replace him? Norton? God help us.... Another gay person who uses campness to gain laughs, innuendo central...

And Ross didn't do inuendo and smut to gain laughs ;)!!!

Your comment could ..............be seen as being ever so slightly homophobic.

just need chris evans to go now

Oi! Leave CE alone. He's one of the best on radio although didn't always get the chance to listen to his evening show before it ended. The spot where he got kids to call in with the first thing they had done that day was inspired.

Pfft homophobic? Oh yes, I forgot people blow things out of proportion all the time. Claiming Graham Norton has relied on the same old bitchy, camp act is NOT homophobic. I don't know about you, but not one of the homosexual people I know would be offended by that. I'm offended anyone could percieve me as homophobic but I supose you don't know me.

For goodness sake give James May a chat show! He could talk to interesting people like inventors, explorers and engineers instead of the endless procession of mindless so called celebrities that infect the media.

I hate to say it - but I agree with you!

I'd watch, although I don't know how many others would?

He'd be great. I can imagine him talking intelligently to all sorts of people. He'd be respectful, courteous and I think he'd get the best out of them.

Someone like James May could talk to inventors, explorers and other people who have actually done something, he's well educated and clever enough and genuinely interested. These kind of people don't want to talk to a clown like Ross who just wants to reduce everything to a smutty joke and a cheap laugh.

People talk about Ross as a top chat show host but he never was. I'm sure a lot of people watched his show in spite of him rather than because of him, he's often had the only show in town. I would watch Parkinson every week but I'll switch off Ross as soon as I see the guest list.

I watched the BBC 6 o'clock news the other night and this was the second story on it, after the weather. Regardless of what you think of Ross there's no way the BeeB should be running this sort of crud before serious issues. For me it's a clear indication that they still have a long way to go in getting their priorities straight as a public service.

It's times like this that I'm glad the BBC has the world service - their news has ACTUAL NEWS on it, and was a godsend during the Ross/Brand coverage.

Tbf most news on TV is fairly crap, especially with "the big freeze" So the answer? Buy a daily newspaper... It's not hard.

Totally agree. The BBC have lost the plot.

I've been very disapointed with the running of the BBC over the last few years.

I don't agree with the them paying these t@ssp@ts vastly overrated salaries "to hold onto them."

Very few broadcasting companies offer the security that the beeb does - if they want more money, let them go.

The BBC has the resources to train many fine jounalists and presenters. If any want to leave, then they should alway's have somebody as back up.

Sian William's and Bill Turnbull(along with many, many others) fit into the over-rated salaries catagory - smarmy / cheesey and patronising. I find it hard to believe the BBC thinks these two are the best for the job.

James May? Good god no. Any of the t0$$3rs from Top Gear are, come the revolution, the first to be stood up against the wall of a cold morning! And denied final requests!:laugh:
