A shocking amount just walk by letting it happen.
A lot seem to be Asian is that a trend? Some comments on youtube about a sort it yourself culture but is that really it? That aside even then hardly anyone actually helped.
Hardly anyone stopped but i'm sure the whole recorded footage would be more condemning.

Yep, I've intervened, more than once. It can get scary, but my best weapons were body language, having a camera, and staying calm. I don't understand how you don't intervene if you see bullying happening.

This was a regular scenario for me when dealing with domestics in a previous life. The battered wife who had called the Police would often turn on us as soon as it became clear that we were taking hubby to the cells for a wee lie down.

With my previous experience of the system in this country, to be honest I would probably walk away from the scenario shown on the clips.
If you intervene and things escalate, you could easily find yourself either getting hurt, or doing some damage to the bully. It is quite easy to break someones jaw, and you could find yourself in serious bother with the law. Don't rely on the "victim" you were trying to help, coming to your rescue as a witness either.
Just not worth it unless an extreme case IMHO..

I believe that in abusive relationships, that's pretty standard behaviour.

Edit: cross post with Brandane above.

Yep, that's happened to me too, although I wasn't alone at the time fortunately.

Best to observe, photograph, and report this to the authorities unless someone's life is in danger, I think. My side of the pond, police take a dim view of these shenanigans, and already know the hooligans involved, having hosted them at their bed and breakfast many times in the past.
