We know a landscaper who works relentlessly, like an absolute nutter on speed and is a thoroughly good bloke as well. He loves his job because, as he told me, "I love playing with my Land Rover and all the equipment!" We got to know him when we stopped to admire his work for a neighbour and were impressed with his work rate. We asked him to build us a wall with drainage behind at the foot of the field and he would finish at dusk then come back after supper to brush off the pointing on the day's work. For almost three weeks of work he charged us just over £1000, I don't know how he survives on that TBH.

My suggestion to you would be to work like a nutter for a year or two and build up a list of happy clients with properties that need maintenance. That will keep you going for years.

I don't want to dampen your elation at getting the 'dream' job Meta, but if I were you I would just sit tight with your van and kit for a few weeks just in case.....

On the other hand, if you are 100% set on selling up regardless then right now is the time of year to do it while the days are long and the weather good (and before anyone says it, yes I have looked out of the window this morning :rain:).

EDIT: @User great minds think alike.
