What is the best way to make a small fortune out of a hard landscaping business,-------start with a large one.

We know a landscaper who works relentlessly, like an absolute nutter on speed and is a thoroughly good bloke as well. He loves his job because, as he told me, "I love playing with my Land Rover and all the equipment!" We got to know him when we stopped to admire his work for a neighbour and were impressed with his work rate. We asked him to build us a wall with drainage behind at the foot of the field and he would finish at dusk then come back after supper to brush off the pointing on the day's work. For almost three weeks of work he charged us just over £1000, I don't know how he survives on that TBH.

My suggestion to you would be to work like a nutter for a year or two and build up a list of happy clients with properties that need maintenance. That will keep you going for years.

I don't want to dampen your elation at getting the 'dream' job Meta, but if I were you I would just sit tight with your van and kit for a few weeks just in case.....

On the other hand, if you are 100% set on selling up regardless then right now is the time of year to do it while the days are long and the weather good (and before anyone says it, yes I have looked out of the window this morning ).

jobs fine ...ive been working like a nutter for 30 years @Globalti what ever happens im finished with paving ..lots of my competition have disappeared too..
its not a must have anymore so i figure the time is right..

ill keep the tools for now anyway but the van needs to go as i need a reliable small car for the cold wet days and the odd 20 mile trip..

What is this word work that you people are talking of?

I heard the phrase once. I felt so ill I've had to take a 5 day break to recover from the image in my mind. 5 days laying on a beach in Kent aged 48 when I could've been "working hard" just wins every time. In fact, this doing nothing malarkey is so good I'm going to carry it on.

yes no prob..the breaker and 110 transformer are sound the plate is very used but ok..10ton compacting spec.. pm me for more info...

this type of breaker..but the older yellow version. Its not like a air breaker but will crack most domestic stuff..
