They are not always adopted, some are genetic fathers, some by a previous heterosexual relationship and some with a surrogate mother.

I chose "adopted" for a specific reason. It just didn't drop in from the sky.

I wonder if they'll be as well-balanced and tolerant, as kids reared by heterosexuals all are?

This is the whole point, kids are raised by "people"

There will be good, bad, tolerant, intolerant, bigoted, open, intelligent, illiterate, neglectful, caring, over possessive, and any other trait you would care to mention

Are any of these these traits exclusive to single parents, extended families, men, women, heterosexual or same sex couples?


Or are we all as prone to making good decisions or bad ones as anyone else?

Unlikely, as all children brought up by homosexuals are perfect just like their parents.
