Prepare the burgers in the normal way.
When cooked, slice them into strips and place them into the rolls.
BINGO!...................... 'Burgerdogs'.

Wimpey bars had to go the other way.
They were owned by a bakery that only made round rolls but wanted a hot dog on the menu.
The result was the Bender.
I still do not know if the sausage bends on its own if cooked after slicing through or if they put it in a shape to cook it bent.
