I like Christmas and I like sprouts too.:hungry:

I'm indifferent to Christmas and sprouts. However Christmas is dealt with but I'm having sprouts again in an hour.

For the 4th year running we went away.
Last year, Christmas Eve we were in Auschwitz. This year sitting in Casino Square in Monaco having an Irish coffee.
I would definitely recommend Nice for a week's break. Only problem was the drive to and from Luton airport and the 8 1/2 delay going out. Arriving after midnight at the apartment and feeling cream crackered the next day.

Christmas dinner.

My daughter and her partner have bought an apartment just off the Boulevard Anglais in Nice near the Casino as a letting investment so I have been out there three times this year decorating and renovating it. We have the offer to stay there for free any time we want outside May to October so I am hopeful we will all spend Christmas and New Year's Eve there in 2020. The only problem is my wife doesn't like Nice very much so it's not certain yet.

This has been the first Christmas that hasn’t felt like Christmas. Not watched any shoot on the TV. The time has just gone. I put on a great show for the daughter, it’s her happiness that’s important. It’s part of getting older.

I don't like Christmas either. The run up is stressful at work with keeping up with upturned work. Its a case of work, sleep then work again with little energy left to prepare for Christmas, house hold duties and enjoying cycling.
When its here i get time off, which then makes me feel really isolated. The hustle and bustle of work is replaced with being at home in solitary confinement. This then makes me feel lonely and anxious.
A good few miles of cycling though in the half decent weather of late does help . Its a time of year that makes you think of the good times and lost loves ones of the past. I can't wait for it to pass and ironically get back to work and into a routine again. After Christmas the nights start drawing out, work is a little hectic which leaves more energy towards cycling and enjoying a spot of gardening again ^_^
