SOunds like the EL_530 is out of the question having just looked at some of the other threads on here about it.

yep, it's crap. I had one and I hated it so I gave it to Mr Paul, who also now hates it. It's probably still doing the rounds.

the cateye is hopefully soon going to be on the way from User to me - was thikning as having it as a second light on at the front on flash mode pointed up at cars?

right looks like the tesco torches are the way to go, but in someones review it menisons that there are two different types the ten quid one and the twelve quid one. i was just wondering which one would be better, bearing mind that i would be using two or three of them

one on the left is the twelve quid one // one on the right is the ten quid one

That looks like the AA (smaller) £10 is a bit better - certainly looks like my beam pattern from my 3w AA Tesco. Shame that, would have thought the C cell one (larger lense) would have been better ?

Seriously look at the Tesco torch with either a Twofish lockblock to mount it or one Panter recommends in this thread using NiMh rechareables as recommended in this thread. I'd consider backing it up with a proper cycle light for sidewas visibility as well.

Your twofish lockblock isnt working for some reason - keeps coming up with an error?
