Hmm. Perhaps not deraillers then. My mind was more wandering to small car parts that I would obviously never even consider putting into the dishwasher.
Unless Mrs. PM was guaranteed to be well out of the way for a few hours.

...although (at risk of taking thread off track) we all have our own priorities... cycling with a couple of friends recently, one of them remarked (of a cyclist who'd just passed us, going t'other way) "Nice bike that... full carbon job". I realised that I'd been looking at the cyclist's jersey (which was nice too) and making a mental note to get myself one.

...you get home after a long ride in the pale, dappled autumnal morning sunlight to warm bacon butties and a cuppa, thinking all's right with the world, when you know, despite appearances, that it really isn't.

You get to work and find the place empty because...apparently, there is a tube strike on. To make matters worse better, I never knew because I was watching the weather (did I need waterproofs) rather than the local traffic news.

That was like me when I worked at a certain school right next to the A82. Except that I took the train (and walked up a rather steep hill), and was very OFTEN there before half of the staff as they had got stuck in traffic or there was some bit of roadworks that I was completely and utterly blissfully ignorant of.

But oh no, that's right, apparently the trains are always s**t

You hope that you approach said babe from behind so that you can inspect their rear before you do their bike
