At work we have signs saying "do not stand on the toilet", I can only imagine what made them put those signs up

I don't mind explaining, one regular on here already has me down as a filthy racist because I dare express opinions about black people so I'm damned to hell whichever way I go.

I dont know whether it's a religious thing connected with the concept of "Pak" which is cleanliness or it's just a culture thing but some Muslim Asians seem to dislike sitting on the toilet seat and prefer to squat perilously, which often leaves footprints on the seat, upsetting the sitters. I can't say I blame them to be honest because some sitters do leave the seats in a disgusting state, even worse is those gentleman who don't bother raising the seat while tinkling, not to mention that the human body actually functions better in a squatting position and you get a much more satisfactory evacuation.... which is why I actually prefer nipping one off in the outdoors when I get the opportunity.

But I'm rambling now.... wait for the diatribe of mouth-foaming abuse from those desperate to demonstrate their impeccable PC credentials.....

here's a very trendy hipster pub called THE cat And Mutton in Hackney, full of haircuts posing as human beings, zinc bar, Plinky Plinky jazz playing, cool as flip. back in the mid nineties it was a toilet, full of villains, alcoholics and thugs. One Sunday lunchtime I was nursing a pint and waiting for the Arsenal Man U game. the pub didn't have a Sky license so they just painted a pint glass on the tv screen with Tippex. a bloke came in wearing a Man U scarf and sat down with his Jack Russell. An Arsenal fan saw him, whipped his scarf off, and wiped the dogs arse with it.

We have the issue with swatters in my company, mainly because they break the seats.

A few years back, one of my colleagues slipped whilst squatting, his foot went into the bowl and he broke his ankle. We tried not to laugh.

Quick story of the squatters. Guy I've worked with used to be employed on a pipelaying barge, lots of indians onboard so they had separate facilities for squatting as well as regular toilets. One of the europeans went into the toilet to find one of the indian electricians standing on the bowl, jumps to a conclusion, drags him off, gave him a shake and told him in no uncertain terms to go use the squatters in their toilet.
A short while later the electricians boss is demanding to know why his subordinate had been treated to the abuse as he was standing on the bowl so he could reach to change a lightbulb.

I have a simple test for the quality of the Pub and cientele...

Look at the pictures on the wall

If they are simply hung in the normal way then it is in the upper range of reputable
If they are lightly fixed to the wall then it is in the mid range
If they are firmly bolted in place with industrial strength fixing bolts then I am afraid it ids the lower ranges of reputability
