The Rolling Stones at the Empire Pool Wembley 1968. At the time I was an Engineer Officer in the Merchant Navy. The stage was protected by Hells Angels, or something like, and when The Stones came on all the lovely young ladies rushed forward and flattened ‘em under their feet. ‘‘Twas a sight to behold.
ps. Charlie Watts and me were at the same Sec Mod school in Kingsbury in the ‘50s.

Stonehenge summer solstice back in the 70's. Can't remember any names of bands playing as it was more of a cultural "get together ". Music was great but it was more a really fun event.

But I left when it ended, not one of those staying on as a place to live until the police managed to evict them.

In 1987, I was staying at a youth hostel in Aachen, the Vienna senior choir's coach had broken down nearby and the hostel owner put them up. Now, this is not your usual youth hostel (picture below). It's stunning. In the morning and in thanks, the choir sang in the courtyard. An impromptu concert but a concert no less. It was fantastic.
