I don't. I have one at the bottom of the garden and they are so gnarly and difficult to prep and paint. You can stuff your old gates.

I've pedalled around Kintyre in the past but I have usually done it on a hired eBike - mostly on the forestry and wind farm tracks. Admiring your doing it analogue and with luggage.

How dare you. I averaged 2.3 yesterday.
Only one pannier yesterday and my luggage was at the hotel. Just tools, lunch and a jacket. It definitely is tough up there though. One of those that has you wondering why you do it but gives great personal satisfaction when you get to the top. Having a 28/32 bottom gear helps too!
