There used to be a car museum in Lower Stondon , 🤔 maybe the vintage car on the sign refers to that .

Oh so there did! I lived in Lower Stondon for a year in the mid 90s, I seem to remember that the guy who had the car museum also had quite a big replica of Noah's Ark didn't he? It was certainly boat shaped and huge, it was visible from the road. My auntie has lived in Henlow Camp for about 40 years and she thinks that guy sold everything about a decade ago.

What it says on the tin... although it's now classed as a village, it used to be the administrative centre during the early part of the Roman occupation.

It's not exactly a village, more like a couple of houses, so doesn't have a proper sign - Snorscomb (I liked the name )

It's not a village, rather une ville, but too good not to do. (Incidentally, its etymology comes from the Latin for 'god', but from the 'god' Emperor Augustus.)
